Real Stories. Real Advice. Real Moms.

So I just found out I am pregnant like an hour ago. This will be our second child and we have been trying now for almost 2 years. So I'm really excited. I dont want to just come out and say it. Any ideas on how to make it more of a surprise? I really don't want to make a cute supper or anything like that becuse the thought of food right now........ew anyway. PLEASE help. I really want this to be special. Also has anyone heard of the chinese baby gender prediction chart? http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.com/predictsex.Htm i have put in many dates of when people where born and it always has the right sex. just wondering if anyone else has tried it and it was correct.

I'm excited for you! Maybe you could fill the house with pink and blue balloons. When he walks in the door, it will be a huge sign, and fun!

Cassandra, yes, yes, yes and YES. I bet by the time you read this you will have told him! Congradulations!! My husband and I thought we would be able to conceive first try........NO not us.....we even went thru painful fertility shots when our doctor could not find a reason why we were not conceiving after 2 years of trying. Three painful, and expenseive months later we decided to take a one month breat and take a winter trip. Well, well, during the trip we got pregnant. Funny thing, we didn't really try, we had went away to just enjoy each other and not worry about the daily monitoring involved. Wasn't till we were back 2 weeks that we found out.LOL I must have taken 3 of those pee tests we were so excited. Baby number two, we kinda the same, not as much pressure because now we were "proven". We just kept trying, and when I thought hum, maybe I am this month, I bought the test, left my office at lunch, went unannounced to his closed the door and went in his private bathroom. Low and behold-- preggers again!! Yes, share this with him!!

CONGRATS!! I would leave the pregnancy test somewhere around the house that you know he'll look. Then he'll take it from there. That's what I'll do. lol

Well, I would have it (Pregancy test) in a gift bag with other baby items. Or I will have his favorite items (Snacks and candies) and then give it to him after eating his favorite meal.

MIGHT BE CORNY BUT hey ur expecting a baby u can be silly all u want and just blame it on the hormones...

Congratulations! That's so awesome. You've got some great ideas already. You know your hubby best I think you could figure out which of the ideas he'd like best.

I have heard of the chinese fortune calendar. I've heard from lots of people that it's accurate but I just tested based on my last two kids which were girls and it said boy for both of them. I don't see how your age and conception date would be able to predict gender. How close you were to ovulation when you conceived is a better indicator.

I would wrap the test up in a box and put it where he may find it before going to work. It will definitely start the day out with a bang!

Never heard of the gender prediction chart, but when I found out I was pregnant with my second son, I wrapped up the pregnancy test like a gift, in a nice box, beautiful paper, bow, etc.

Not the most creative, but I thought I share it anyway.

Exactly, I think she may have had a master plan. Her whole schtick makes for good reality TV and she definitely gets a lot of press.
